I don't see much activity on the new guestbook like we used to see on the old guestbook. Is it because most of the people don't know about this new one ?

Had a dream I was at Revere Beach with 1 of my Ks. born dogs. She loved the water. I go to Revere Beach everytime I go HOME. Enjoy the smell of the ocean. Nothing like it. Enjoy the piazza too. !!!!!!!!

My Mom, Virginia Potito Bucklin, grew up on Oak Island. I think she graduated in 1939. We visited last year and drove around Oak Island. She could tell you every person that lived out there back then. She says it was the perfect place to grow up. She loved walking up and down the beach every summer with her sister. Her parents moved to Florida in 1955.

Nice to see that the new Guest Book is catching on; FYI, I posted this on my Facebook page and I hope others will keep this great site busy.
RHS Class of 1953 is preparing for our 60th. in September of 2013. (Did he say 2013? 60 years?). Yup, we are still alive and kicking and want all 1953 Grads to send me an EM with your current Snail Mail address, tel.# and EM address. Please send the info to rhs1953reunion@frontier.com.
I'll be coming to Revere in a couple of weeks for a Reunion meeting and I'll make the obligatory stop at Kelley's at the Beach! The best fried clams in the world!

I GREW UP IN REVERE IN THE 40'S AND 50'S. I MISS KELLY'S ROAST BEEF, GOOD CHINESE FOOD AND LOBSTERS. I AM LIVING IN CARY NO CAROLINA. OH YES, I MISS SCHWARTZ'S DELI AND MAXIES DELI WHERE YOU COULD GET HAND CUT RUMANIAN PASTROMI. EXCEPT FOR BJ'S, NOBODY KNOWS WHAT HALF SOUR PICKLES ARE. I MISS JEWISH AND ITALIAN BAKERIES. AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE, WE HAVE OUR DAUGHTER AND OUR 2 GRANDCHILDREN AND THAT MAKES UP FOR ALL THOSE LOSSES.
THERE IS SO MUCH THAT CAN BE SAID ABOUT GROWING UP IN REVERE, AND IT WAS ALL GOOD.

My last entry was quite a while ago here and I have not seen many visits from other revere-its. Is any one out there from rhs class of 57? Say hello here sometime and check this site often.

Hello Revere Beach Friends,
We have our beloved Guest Book Back so lets please use it to share our memories and reach out to old friends and make new friends.
For me, spring in Revere (Oak Island) meant after supper walks with just my mother and me to the beach; it was only about a 10 minute walk from where we lived. I was only about 7 or 8 and we would walk and talk as we walked along. My mother's busy day usually left little time for chatting so these occacsional walks were really special. The favorite stopping spot was a frozen custard stand where we bought huge cones (at least it seemed then) of the delicious icy treat that we would bring to the shelters and sit and talk some more and listen to the waves crash against the shore. A very special time before the summer crowds arrived.

How wonderful to have the Guestbook alive and well. I really am so grateful for the loyalty and expertise of Bob Upton (a real Revere Beach historian).
We will take good care of the Guestbook.
