International Sand Sculpting Festival set for 22-24 July at Revere Beach

The Revere Beach Partnership will once again bring Sand Sculptors from all over the world to Revere Beach; hundreds of thousands of visitors will flock to the beach.    The Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival has grown into one of the largest sand sculpting festivals in the country. Each year sculptors from all over the world come to compete for one of the largest grand prizes in the world. Sculptors work for four days creating masterpieces on the beach with nothing but sand and water. Every year the event features a People’s Choice competition where you get to vote for your favorite. The Festival also features a full line-up of live entertainment, amusement rides, fireworks, a food truck festival and much more! New this year – Hot Air Balloon rides! Revere Beach Kite Festival set for May 15th across from Kelly’s

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   Revere, MA, April 19, 2016 – Revere Beach Partnership, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that creates some of Revere’s best-loved events including the Sand Sculpting Festival and Pumpkin Festival, invites you to attend the Revere Beach Kite Festival, May 15th from 11AM – 2PM at Revere Beach, across from Kelly’s Roast Beef.   The first 300 kids (under the age of 12) will receive a complimentary kite. Harbor Group Doles out $200K to Create Better Beaches

Story at Banker & Tradesman State House News Service The type of sand sculptures showcased on Revere Beach in July will populate other beaches this year and an artist from San Francisco will turn one seaside expanse into a temporary work of art. Save the Harbor/Save the Bay on Saturday plans to announce a total of about $204,000 that will help fund 35 different programs on the sandy shores that ring Boston Harbor. One grant will help fund free swimming and kayak lessons at Carson Beach in South Boston available to youth groups around the region, along with a beach soccer clinic, said Bruce Berman, of Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. The non-profit received $190,000 from the state and raised additional funds on its own for the programs in nine communities, supporting 70 different free public events. “The Better Beaches Program grants offer a tremendous amount of value by financially …
