Revere, a great place to visit and a great place to stay!
With its close proximity to Boston and Logan International Airport and its reasonably priced accommodations, it’s no wonder Revere is a sought after destination for the price conscious tourist.
Revere has a great public transportation system, which can have you in downtown Boston in a matter of minutes. There is also a great bus system, which can take you to destinations North, and of course there are many cab companies and car rentals facilities in the city as well. Most Revere hotels offer complimentary shuttles to and from the airport and Boston destinations. A water ferry from our neighboring town of Winthrop provides an exhilarating ride through Boston Harbor to downtown Boston.
Often called the gateway to the North Shore, Revere boasts the first public beach in the United States; a perfect three mile crescent jewel which provides swimming, sunbathing, fishing, boating and many other activities and events throughout the summer. The Revere Sand Castle Competition draws hundreds of thousands each year from all over the world. There are also kite festivals, beach volleyball, fireworks and of course great restaurants on the beach and throughout the city.
If you want to venture into Boston, you’re a mere 15 minutes from the Boston Public Garden with its beloved Swan Boats, Fenway Park, or great shopping at Quincy Market and Newbury Street. If you enjoy history, there is no better place than walking the Freedom Trail, touring the US Constitution, or climbing the Bunker Hill Monument. Boston’s famous land and sea Duck Tour takes you on an entertaining adventure for the whole family. Known for its culture diversity, Boston is noted for its world-class symphony orchestra, theater district, museums, restaurants, along with the best hospitals and universities in the country.
One half hour drive north of Revere is the quaint town of Marblehead with its rocky coastline, pristine harbor and antique homes and storefronts. Three miles north of Marblehead, is the Halloween capital of the World, Salem, known for its controversial witch trials, House of Seven Gables and Salem Willows Park. Further north you can explore Rockport with its eclectic shops, art galleries and restaurants, and Gloucester with its rich fishing history and great seafood restaurants.
