A Stroll Through Time at Revere Beach
Step into the waterfront’s golden age through archival photographs of piers, bathhouses, grand hotels, ballrooms, amusement rides, transit lines, and everyday beach life.
An editorial photo journey
The Revere Beach Photo Journey
Before it was the year-round seaside destination you know today, Revere Beach was the Boston region’s front porch—welcoming visitors by streetcar and train, gathering along the pier and in grand bathhouses, and spending summer afternoons and evenings at legendary hotels, ballrooms, and amusement rides.
This expanded collection is organized into chapters you can still feel along the waterfront today: shoreline life, the thrill of Wonderland, landmark hotels and ballrooms, transit connections, and photographs of community life by the beach, plus a curated Sand Sculpting Festival chapter.
