Revere Beach Partnership Announces the Twenty Master Sculptors from Around the Globe to Compete in Duo and Solo Competitions for the 2015 Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival

America’s First Public Beach Pays Tribute to The Spirit of Massachusetts with 12th Annual World-Renowned Sand Sculpting Festival from July 24 – 26, 2015

 

REVERE, MA (June 17, 2015)The Revere Beach Partnership is proud to announce the sculptors competing in the 2015 Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival hosted at America’s oldest public beach, Revere Beach, established in 1896.

Attracting an average of 700,000 attendees annually, the 2015 Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival will begin on Friday, July 24 and run through Sunday, July 26. This year’s festival will feature twenty world-renowned master sand sculptors from all corners of the globe who will put their skills to the test as they compete for first prize in the Master Sand Sculpting Competition in both a duo and solo competition.

Competing in this year’s solo competition are: Melineige Beauregard from Montreal, Dan Belcher from Missouri, Jonathan Bouchard from Montreal, Enguerrand David from Belgium, Dan Doubleday from Florida, Marielle Heessels from the Netherlands, Sue McGrew from Washington, Pavel Mylnikov from Moscow, Guy Olivier/Deveau from Quebec, and Benjamin Probanza from Acapulco, Mexico.

For teams in the duo competition, we have: Abe Waterman from Prince Edward Island and Morgan Rudluff from California, Steve Topazio from Rhode Island and Matt Long from New York, Ilya Filmonstev from Russia and David Ducharme from British Columbia, Susanne Ruseler from the Netherlands and Hanneke Supply, also from the Netherlands, Kevin Crawford from Australia and Leonardo Ugilini from Italy.

Hours for the 2015 Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 run from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26. Admission is free and open to the public. It is recommended to use the MBTA to and from this event. The MBTA Blue Line can be taken to Wonderland or Revere Beach stations. Free parking and shuttle service to the T will be available at Suffolk Downs. Parking is also available at Wonderland Garage.
