Revere Beach Tides
Know when the ocean is moving in, moving out, and how much shoreline you can expect before you go. Use the live NOAA outlook to plan a walk, a photo, a swim, or a wider stretch of sand.
Interactive NOAA tide forecast
Track the water as it rises and falls at Revere Beach. The chart and event cards update from NOAA Boston Harbor predictions, with the current position refreshed as time moves.
Predictions are for planning and do not guarantee the exact shoreline position. Wind, waves, storms, and atmospheric pressure can change actual water levels. Heights use NOAA’s MLLW datum. Open official NOAA predictions.
Breakwater safety
Avoid the Revere Beach breakwater around high tide.
As a general rule of thumb, stay off the breakwater from two hours before high tide until two hours after high tide. As the tide rises, water covers portions of the rocks closer to shore first. Visitors on the outer edges can become stranded quickly, which can lead to emergency water rescues.
This guidance is for planning only. Do not enter or remain on the breakwater when conditions are changing, water is covering the route, or posted officials direct you to leave. Check the Beach Status and Weather pages before heading out.
Plan your shoreline window
Tide is only one part of the beach day.
Actual water levels can differ from predictions when wind, waves, storms, or atmospheric pressure change. Use the tide pattern as a planning guide, then check the live conditions that shape how Revere Beach feels right now.
Widest shoreline
Look near low tide.
More wet sand is typically exposed for long walks, photos, and exploring the waterline.
Before swimming
Check status first.
Review the latest water-quality and closure information on the Beach Status page.

Revere Beach is a dynamic shoreline. Posted signs, official beach-status guidance, and on-site conditions always take priority over a prediction.
